Well setting up in a new venue was a little bit tricky as we had a different space in which to fit our 2 sets of stands, but luckily, a combined brain storm got us to the perfect combination, after 5 hours of dragging stuff upstairs, shunting furniture, hanging/rehanging work, hiding existing wall pics, making tea, putting out the signs, etc.
It's amazing how quickly you forget how long all this takes and how much work it all is, still it was worth it in the end.
Here's Claire's lovely glass
And her superbly tactile pots
Shirley's wonderful lino cuts
And our only male member, my talented DH's superb photographs.
With a bit of selective screening of pics underneath that couldn't be removed.
And lastly my contribution
We had a lovely Private View, thanks to all those who visited us, and I sold Conflict 3, which was a great boost, and today I sold another large African inspired piece, sorry no pics as yet.
So we're all looking forward to tomorrow and hoping we have as many visitors as today.
What a lovely exhibition Sharon - I love your stone tower quilt. All the other exhibits are excellent too and although so different, seem to compliment each other. Well done everyone and good luck.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Sharon. Wish I could visit the exhibit!
